1. Registrar's Fee: You will have to pay a fee at the Registrar's Office when you notify them of your intention to marry.
2. Church Fees: We ask for an offering of £250 for a wedding in Holy Family or in Sacred Heart payable in advance. This sum covers church expenses, the choir, the organist, the Registrar on the day and the Marriage Certificate - in fact everything except additional flowers (see below). You may, of course, wish to give more if you can afford it. If you arrange to bring your own organist or choir or soloist then you should make some separate arrangement as to their fee; they will not be paid out of the offering you give to the church.
The offering to the Church should be paid by cheque or cash before the wedding. Cheques should be made out to "Holy Family Parish Account" or "Sacred Heart Parish Account" as the case may be, but not personally to the priest or deacon please. (Note that if you are marrying elsewhere, the fee may vary or you may have to pay separate fees to the church, registrar, organist, etc.)
PLEASE NOTE THAT NO CATHOLIC WILL EVER BE REFUSED A CHURCH WEDDING FOR FINANCIAL REASONS.
If there is any problem in this regard, please talk to the priest about it, knowing that he will treat the matter with discretion and in complete confidence.
