THE LORD'S DAY: A DAY OF GRACE

"It is clear then why, even in our own difficult times, the identity of this day must be protected and above all must be lived in all its depth." (Dies Domini DD 30)

Since its foundation, the setting aside of Sunday has shaped the Church. Modern life has its own particular demands; time is short, we are all busy. Diaries get filled, there is so much to do. And yet perhaps the solution to this is Sunday itself. Adding a bit of order, a time to pause and reflect - perhaps this is the tonic of modern life.

For Reflection This Week:

  • Become more aware of how you spend Sunday now.
  • What can you do to make it a holy day?
