Sponsored Walk

The Right to Life Annual Sponsored Walk takes place on Bank Holiday Monday the 30th of May starting at 1.00pm. The eight mile circuit begins from and returns to Saints Michael & John Catholic Church, Lowergate, Clitheroe, BB7 1AG. Archbishop-emeritus Patrick Kelly, Bishop John Arnold of Salford and Lord David Alton of Liverpool will also be taking part.

Marian Walk

Bishop John Rawsthorne will lead a Pilgrimage Walk on Bank Holiday Monday the 30th of May beginning with Mass at 10.00am at St. Austin’s Church, Thatto Heath, St. Helens WA9 followed by the Heath’s Marian Trail, a modern-day pilgrimage route in the heart of St. Helens linking nine church groups and drawing on the inspiration of Mary.

Just turn up if you’d like to take part.

Garden Fete

Also taking place on Bank Holiday Monday the 30th of May is a Garden Fete at The Don Orione Centre, School Lane (near The Fox @ Fifteens pub) at Roby Mill, Upholland from 12 noon to 4.00pm.

In addition to plants and food and clothing and tombola plus a Grand Prize Draw with First Prize of £500, and many other attractions, there’s also a Car Boot Sale at the same time (£10 per car - no traders or vans - contact 01695 622885 for a plot).

Entertainment will be provided by the talented Zoe Unsworth and all proceeds are in aid of the Don Orione Centre and the Don Orione Philippines Missions.
